Mattapoisett Rail Trail      

 The Mattapoisett Rail Trail runs on the old right of way for the Old Colony Rail Road South of Route 6. 

It crosses Mattapoisett Neck Road and Brandt Island Road in Mattapoisett. It joins The Pheonix Bike Trail at the Town line and goes all the way to the Fairhaven waterfront.In Fairhaven it crosses, Shaw Road, Gillette Road, Arsene Street,  Sconticut Neck Road, Adams Street, Green Street and many others.

Directions:  From Mattapoisett, Take Route 6 towards Fairhaven.  Turn Left on Mattapoisett Neck Road (after the Chowder House) or Brandt Island Road (Across from Denise's Pet shop).  the path crosses these roads about 1/2 mile down.

Parking is available off the street on  Mattapoisett Neck Road  about .4 miles south of the path on the left hand side where old Mattapoisett Neck Road becomes the Old Town landing.  Limited pull off space is available at Old Brandt Island Road.

Please be considerate: don't park on people's lawns.  Don't block mailboxes.
