The Southcoast Pathways Challenge is a fundraising bike or hike pledge event that provides money for the bikepath in the town of your choice: Fairhaven, Mattapoisett, Marion, and Wareham. Ride 10, 15, or 40 Miles or walk a mile or two starting in Mattapoisett or Wareham. Click for registration details

Registration and Parking are at the Depot Street Parking Lot at the Corner of Railroad Ave. and Depot St. 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM. Please bring a filled in registration form with your pledges $ and/or Registration Fee.
Directions to Start Point : Railroad Avenue and Depot Street, Mattapoisett, MA 02739
From Fairhaven: Take Route 6 to first Mattapoisett Traffic Light, (Main Street) Turn Right. Take next right, Depot Street. Start , Parking and Registration Straight Ahead.
From 195: Take exit 19A (North Street) Turn Right on Route 6 (West) at Traffic Light. Turn left at next Traffic Light( Main Street). Take next right, Depot Street. Start , Parking and Registration Straight Ahead.
10 mile Loop Start at Mattapoisett
This Route is 90 per cent on road, 10% on the bike path. An alternate version is to follow points 1 thru 7 then take the bike path to arsene Street, Fairhaven. Do the "spur" up to the Little Bay Overlook and return along the same route.
Bike Rides: 40 Mile Self Directed Ride Starts at 9:00.AM.

Walks :
Begin Registering 8:30.
1 MILE: Walk a 1/2 mile portion of the Old Colony Right-of-Way over to the "breach" at rocky beach, Then return to start.
3 MILES: Add two miles to your walk by taking water street to Ned's Point Light Houses and back.
10 and 15 Mile Rides with leaders start at 9:15.
All self directed rides start before 11:00

Bring your Registraion and or Pledges plus a signed copy of the Liaility waiver to the Registration site. (Also bring Parental Consent Form if you are under 18.) Riders must wear a helmet. The route will be marked. It will be monitored during the event for bikers with problems.
Maps and directions will be available at the start.

Mattapoisett: Depot Street Parking Lot (Corner of Depot St. and Railroad Ave.)
Wareham: Merchant's Way, Wareham Center (Behind the Main street shops in Wareham Center)
The 40 mile route loop can be started in Mattapoisett or Wareham. a map will be published shortly.
From Mattapoisett the route goes to Rochester via Acushnet Road and Crystal Spring Road, and then over to Marion via 105 and County Road, touching a portion of the future rail trail route. Then it continues to Wareham Center via Fearing Hill and Main Street, again touching a section of the future Wareham Rail Trail. Then it returns to Rochester via Mary's Pond Road, and into Fairhaven via New Bedford Road, New Boston Road and Bridge Street. It returns to Mattapoisett riding in part on the completed portion of the Pathway.
10 and 15 mile loops from Mattapoisett go into Fairhaven via Acusnet Rd, New Boston Road.
10 and 15 mle loops from Wareham go to Marion and back via Main Street, Fearing HIll, Blackmore Pond Count, and Mary's Pond.
